Problems can show up as pain in the jaw joint as well as surrounding facial muscles, but oftentimes the problem can go undiagnosed as several seemingly unrelated symptoms. During your consultation, your Temporomandibular Joint will be assessed for what is more commonly referred to as TMJ disorder. Whether caused by clenching and grinding, or due to misalignment of your teeth and jaws, TMJD can often be treated with the fabrication of a night-time removable appliance, or an adjustment and realignment of your bite.

How It Works: A BioMed practitioner will feel your jaw joint to assess for pain.

What It Feels Like: A general massage of the area.

What Symptoms/Systems It’s Good For: General pain in the jaw, or pain with opening or clenching the area.

How Long Does The Treatment Take: Assessment of the area takes a few minutes.
